6 Months Old

I am so behind on posting so I thought I would just start with Josiah's 6 month appointment. He weighed 17 pounds 15 ounces and was 28 inches long! The doctor said everything looked great! A few days after his 6 month check up he got his very first cold :(. It was so sad knowing something was wrong with him, but there wasn't much I could do! He is finally feeling better and back to his happy self again! Before he got sick he was eating anything and everything, but he is just now starting back on baby food. (he wouldn't eat it while he was sick) He is beginning to have such a little personality and he is so much fun! He still is NOT sleeping through the night, but is getting better and we are working on this. Hopefully he will sleep a little bit better now that he is eating baby food again. He has just started getting up on his knees and rocking back and forth, so maybe he will be crawling soon?!?! I love watching him learn new things, its just so cool to me! Well, hopefully I will be posting more now, and hopefully I will get my laptop back real soon!

Hi Nicole! I've been reading your blog for awhile now, I just love reading baby blogs and your story is so sweet. Anyway, I was reading how you said Josiah still doesn't sleep through the night and I definitely feel your pain. My 10 month old girl still wasn't sleeping though the night as of a week ago! I was getting desperate to have her sleep all night before her 1st bday. I went to Books a Million and foud this book: Twelve Hours Sleep by Twelve Weeks: A Step by Step Plan for Baby Sleep Success by Suzy Giordano. It has been a life saver! It's hard at first, still is since we're still basically at the beginning of it, but it makes such a difference! My baby girl use to wake up a couple times a night and since we've been doing what the book said, she's slept 5 nights in a row without waking up once! I just wanted to let you know there is hope! :) Sorry to leave such a long comment.

Hey girl! Thank you so much for the great advice! I will definitely have to check out that book! Josiah finally slept 8 hours straight last night for the first time!
