Missing them

I am missing my boys! Rachel watched Josiah today and she sent me this picture. Again, sorry for the quality! Rach took Josiah to Red Lobster today and she said he LOVED their biscuits. That's my boy! :) Josh got on the computer tonight with Josiah and skyped with me! I think it made me miss them even more! I said how much does mommy love you and he would throw his hands up and I said "this much"! He is so darn cute! I miss Josh too, but I can talk on the phone with him and he knows where I am. It just breaks my heart because I feel like Josiah is going to forget who I am or just be down right mad at me when I get home! Hopefully I will be home Friday!

300 miles away

So I have been away from Josh and Josiah for two days now. :( Josh has sent me a few pictures, but they aren't very good quality. To find out why I am outta town click here.

Josh's mom watched Josiah yesterday, my dad and uncle are splitting today, and then Rachel and my dad are splitting tomorrow! I am so thankful for wonderful friends and family that can watch him while I'm away. I haven't ever been this far away from Josiah and it makes me sad! But it's for a good reason!

It's funny that they are 300 miles away from me and they are what help me get through the day! I hope everyone has a great week! I can't wait to be home!

Our friends, Ken and Andrea, got Josiah this wagon for his birthday! He enjoys it so much that anytime he looks outside and sees it we have to go out there and pull him in it! (Sometimes I try to hide it on the other side of the porch so he can't see it. That is how obsessed he is with it!) On a serious note I love it too because this is the ONLY time this kid sits still! Thank you Ken and Andrea!

Birthday Weekend Fun!

Thursday we went over to my Aunt and Uncle's house to celebrate Josiah's birthday! They were going to be out of town the day of Josiah's birthday party. My Aunt made this cute little dinosaur cake for him!

Thursday night we came back and worked on more of the decorations for Saturday. Friday my friend Andrea came in from Georgia! It was soo good to see here! She helped out a ton! My mom, Andrea, Josiah and I piled up and headed to Sam's. We had to get all the food for his party and pick up the cupcakes/smash cake. We got home and decorated a little, made some of the sides and then some of my girlfriends from here came over to hangout and help. It was a good time!

Saturday we got up early and finished decorating and got everything ready. The party was at 12 so we had a lot of stuff to do in little time!

I had so much fun doing all the directions for the party! It was a little stressful at times, but everything turned out just the way I had thought it out! Thank you to everyone that came and thank you to everyone that helped out. We have so much food/candy/cupcakes leftover!

Happy Birthday Sweet Boy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Josiah!

This morning when Josiah woke up Josh and I went in his room and sang "Happy Birthday" to him. He looked up at us, and put his head back down. He probably was thinking "what in the world are these crazy people doing"! I cooked blueberry pancakes! Josiah wasn't too sure about them so he ended up eating mostly blueberries!

I can't believe our little boy is one! God has blessed us with so much in the past year and we are so thankful for it! I am saying an extra little prayer today for Josiah's birthmom today! Well, Josiah is waking up from his nap so I will have to write a longer post later to let you know what is going on in this big boys life! :)

Today I have been running a few errands. Josiah and I went to Publix and bought some cupcakes to take to Josh's work! I haven't been up there to meet everyone yet so Josh thought today would be a good day! After meeting everyone Josh, Josiah and I went to Subway to eat lunch! Josiah flirted with everyone that came through the door. It was hilarious! Anyway, when we got back home we were playing around in the car. Here is a little video!

Birthday Invite

Random thoughts....probably a little boring!

1. We will have a ONE year old in 3 days! Wow!

2. I am so excited about Josiah's birthday party in 5 days, but I feel like there is a million things left to do! Where do I even begin?? Everything I have left can't be done until the day before the party or they day of!

3. We gave Josiah's birthday present to him early (because we can!!) and he loves it. We got him a little slide that is for outside but we have it inside for right now.

4. Josiah is getting his 5th tooth in and I think this one has bothered him the most. Thank goodness for teething tablets.

5. Josiah has started to throw some major temper tantrums. He especially throws them when we are outside and I decide we need to go in for a little bit. It is hard to not laugh at him because it is rather funny most of the time.

6. Josh and I got a pay raise because Josiah went from formula (Allumentum which cost $26 for 3-4 days) to cows milk! We were worried that Josiah wouldn't tolerate the cows milk since we had such a big problem with formula but he is doing awesome on it!! Not only did he go to cows milk but he is eating more "real" food than baby food so that is costing a little less too!

7. I'm thinking that I should be doing something more productive during Josiah's nap time other than playing on the computer....I guess I can do something during nap #2.

8. Josh and I are trying to eat better! We both want to get back to our weight from high school, but it is very hard to do while living with 3 other adults.(You have to have major self control) ......

9. .......but I have an addiction to ANYTHING sweet! I mean ANYTHING! So we will see how good we do! I am proud of Josh though he has done really good this past week!

Our House

I think I showed this picture already, but this was our house on July 4th.....

Yesterday when Josh got off of work we headed over to our neighborhood to see what was done (we go by every few days!) When we pulled around the circle this is what we saw! Man, I guess since it has been sunny here they decided to work their lil' butts off! We were there at 6ish and they were still working! I was hoping to get pictures of each stage but they are just putting it up way too fast! I'm not complaining..just saying!
One of the best parts about the neighborhood is that there is a HUGE playground! Josiah had soo much fun! I can't wait to take him back.

He had the biggest smile on his face every time he got on the slide! We might be going there more often!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! We have no plans as of now. I need to finish up some of Josiah's birthday party decorations! I can't believe he is turning one next week!

Blueberry Lover

Josiah LOVES food! I think he is going through a growth spurt right now so he is eating even more than he usually does. My mom has a blueberry bush that has a ton of blueberries on it right now. If we take Josiah out there with us to pick them we barely make it in the door with any! Here he is enjoying some delicious blueberries!

4th of July Weekend

We had a pretty busy, fun filled weekend!
Friday my mom was off from work so she kept Josiah while I ran some errands for somethings for Josiah's birthday party. Josh called while I was out and asked if I wanted to meet him for lunch. We decided to go to Zaxby's -- I love that place! Friday night Josh and I went up to Seville to see a band play and to hang out with some friends. It was fun, but I am getting to old to stay out past 12!



Late Friday we decided to have a pool party on Saturday so that morning I got up super early ran to Walmart to grab some cokes and cupcake mix! Got home made the cupcakes and cleaned up around the house. Since the pool party was so last minute we decided we would just order some pizza! I didn't take any pictures of the pool party, but we had a really good time! I think it might be a regular thing from now on seeing that we really can't get in the water at the beach :( Josh's friends' were having a cookout at 3 so once everyone left and Josiah got up from his afternoon nap we headed over there! After the cookout we came home and crashed, I think being outside all day took a tole on us!


Sunday we got up and were pretty lazy! We had a cookout and went swimming! Here are some pictures!

We attempted a family picture before Josh and I left to go watch the fireworks downtown...but as you see we didn't get a good one!

Josh and I met up with some of our friends downtown to have a picnic in the park and watch the fireworks! We really did have a good time!

Monday we went out to Josh's Aunt's beach condo. She was there with Josh's cousin's two girls and then Josh's parents were there with our nieces.

We were on the 9th floor and Josiah loved to look over the balcony.

It was raining most of the day so we decided to go eat at Peg Leg's. Once we got done with lunch it had stopped raining so we went out to the beach. Josiah was a little cranky because he had not had a nap that day.

We had a great weekend and I was sad that Josh had to go back to work today!
