I know this is unbelievable, but I haven't taken any pictures lately! I did take this video of Josiah yesterday! By the way...please disregard his Gators shirt, I am not a Florida fan Josiah's daddy is!

Grits and Eggs

Here is a video from Sunday. My mom was trying to feed Josiah grits and eggs for the first time. He did NOT like them. The funny thing is we were eating grits and eggs a few minutes later and he loved them when he got them off of our plates. Funny little guy! He is such a mess!

Wedding and Beach

Saturday I flew solo to the Smith-Jeffcoat wedding. Josh's mom's birthday was Saturday so him and Josiah went over there while I went to the wedding. It was beautiful and a lot of fun! After the wedding Josh met up with us at the beach!

It's so great to be back in town, but I feel like we never have a second to rest! Had a great weekend and looking forward to having nothing to do next week...maybe?!

9 Months Old

We had a very busy weekend so I thought I would try to blog everything separately.

Thursday we took Josiah to his new doctor for his 9 month check up. He did great and we love the new doctor.

The doctor said he was very healthy! :)

He was 30' tall (95th%)and weighed 21 pounds (65th%).


I gave up trying to put the sign in his bed because he was eating and ripping it up.

A few things Josiah loves......

• He loves to eat...I think this is when he is the happiest! Haha.. must take after me!
• He loves to be outside, he would stay out there all day long
• He loves the dogs
• He loves to play with electrical cord (no we do not let him do this!)
• He loves to try to get into the dogs' water bowl

A few things Josiah dislikes....

• He dislikes getting his diaper changed
• He dislikes getting in his car seat
• He is starting to dislike getting into is highchair

He is so much fun right now. He hasn't been the type of baby that likes to be loved on, but he is starting to give kisses and hugs! It is so cute!! He giggles all the time. Josiah started this new thing where he fake coughs, it is hilarious. He is so adorable and so much fun at this age!

You can teach an old dog new tricks

I think it's pretty funny that Josh is 27 and doesn't know how to tie a tie. He has always had my dad tie it for him. Since he started this new job he has to wear ties everyday so I guess he decided he better learn. This is dad teaching Josh how to do it.

I thought I better learn too just in case Josh didn't get it...

Ours....NOT so much!!! HAHAHA

Josh's looked pretty good minus the fact that it was super short. I didn't even get close to doing mine right. Josh finally figured it out and has pre-tied all of his ties so he doesn't have to do it again for awhile. I never ended up getting it! Oh well!

Sunshine

Josiah loves to be outside but the problem is there is nothing that he can really do. He wants to eat EVERYTHING so I decided I would get him a baby pool until the big pool is warm enough to go in. Monday was the first time in it and he wasn't too sure about it at first. He played for a little while but he was ready to get out a few minutes later.

Today I didn't have the pool water warmed up so I decided to let him play in his pack-n-play outside. He enjoyed watching the dogs run around. He stayed in there for about 30 minutes! I might do this more often so I can get some sun!!!
Josiah has his 9 month well visit tomorrow with his new doctor here in Florida. I hope everything goes good and that his doctor is nice (I've heard good things about him)! I will post his 9 month picture in the next few days!

Day #8

8 days without ANY chocolate! That doesn't really seem like a long time, but it is for me. I LOVE chocolate and I would skip any meal to eat it. But-- I am trying to eat better!

So far it hasn't been too hard, but last night I had a dream about it...is that bad that I dream about food?!?! I had a dream that I ate a chocolate chip cookie and then got so mad at myself for eating it. I have been thinking about chocolate ALL day long now!

I can do this...I CAN do this........
