Got Oatmeal?!

One year ago.....

I don't know why, but I was looking through my old posts.......

Almost one year ago from today we were getting ready for Bethany Christian Services to come do our home study for our adoption process. I blogged about it here. I know I say this all the time but God is so AMAZING! His timing is always perfect. Sometimes we don't understand why He does things, but I do get that He always has the best plan. I cannot believe it only took 2 months from our home study to have our son be placed in our hearts. We are lucky! This year we have been blessed with so much and I can't thank anyone but the man upstairs. God you ROCK!!!!!

10 Months

Better late than never right?!?!

I canNOT believe Josiah will be a year old in less than 2 months! I am excited and sad all at the same time! I can't wait to see him grow up and watch him learn so many new things but on the other hand I don't want him to get any bigger. Time is flying by. SLOW DOWN a little please?!?

Getting Josiah to stay still for a picture is NOT easy these days! I put him in his crib to take his monthly picture and he crawls and climbs all over the place! So these two are the best out of 50 (no kidding). I am late as usual on posting but I thought I needed to do it anyway!

Josiah loves to be outside!! He would stay out there all day long if he could. I enjoy being outside too but it is so hot already and its only May! I got in my car the other day and it said 100! I can't imagine what it is going to be like in July.

As I said in my last post he has 3 teeth and is working on his 4th one. The boy loves to eat. He eats 4 meals a day and one snack. He thinks every time anyone is eating he should be eating too. He also thinks when someone is drinking he has to have whatever they are drinking or he throws a fit. We try to only give him water and apple juice but his wonderful grandparents like to give him sweet tea!

Josiah is such a sweetheart! He loves to give kisses! I hope he is stays this sweet forever! He is a momma's boy! Which I don't mind a bit, but he has gotten worse lately. He doesn't like to go to anyone but me. I just hope he gets out of this stage soon. I want him to LOVE everyone!! Ha..

3rd and 4th

This cute little guy is getting his 3rd and 4th tooth in. The 3rd one has broke through and the 4th one is right behind it. Josiah got a little cranky with his first two teeth but they didn't seem to bother him that bad. These new teeth or making him cranky and keeping him up at night! :( He has been waking up every few nights around 3:00 am. Hopefully the 4th one will come on in and he will start sleeping good again!

Amber and Will's Wedding

Saturday morning we got up at 7:00 am and this is what my view was! What I would do to see this every morning!!! It is absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! All the girls got up and took showers and then we headed to Amber's shop to eat breakfast! Ms. Cathy brought up the greatest breakfast casseroles I have ever eaten! (I feel like I'm always talking about food on this thing!) Anyway, I am going to get the recipes from her and make them one day!

After eating breakfast we had our make up and hair done. We got to the church around 1:00, got dressed and took a ton of pictures! Guests started arriving around 3:30 and I started to get nervous. I think I was more nervous than at my own wedding...not sure why?! I don't like people to stare at me....

The wedding and reception was beautiful and fun! Can't wait to hear how the newlyweds' honeymoon is going!

Friday night

Friday we had to be at St. Mark's at 5:00 for the wedding rehearsal. They had 20 people in the bridal party so it was fun trying to get all 20 of us to do what we were suppose to be doing. Then we went to Jackson's for dinner. I haven't ever been there because it is way outta my price range! It sure was delish though! We had such a great time!

Oh My Goodness.....this dessert was the bomb diggidy! It was some kind of key lime something or another..I couldn't pronounce it....but it was sooooo good!

After we left Jackson's all of the girls headed out to the beach to put chair covers on all the chairs for the wedding. Amber had a suite for us so we all stayed the night and got up Saturday morning to get ready together.

I will post the pictures from the wedding either later today or tomorrow!

Amber's Bridal Luncheon

We had Amber's Bridal Luncheon yesterday at Hemmingway's on the beach! It was such a beautiful day! There was good food, good friends, good times, and a lot of picture taking as usual with these girls! Me and Jaime

Tonight we have the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner at Jackson's. All the girls are leaving the rehearsal dinner to go to the Hilton on the beach to put chair covers on all of the chairs and then we are staying the night out there. Tomorrow is the big day!!!! We will be up early to get our hair and make up done! I will post pictures of the wedding next week!
